I recently had a dinner discussion with British colleagues about the (mis)use of foreign words with another meaning than in the language they originate from. We inevitably came across the use of the term entrée in the US vs. the French meaning of the word. My colleague pointed me to the excellent post by post by Dan Jurafsky on the topic (thanks Stephen!) as well as to another one on the meanings of the term à la carte, including some intersting discussion.
